The Roman Catholic Church is willing to go so far as to assert that any church that denies the papacy is no true church.
Evangelicals should be equally candid in asserting that any church defined by the claims of the papacy is no true church.
This is not a theological game for children, it is the honest recognition of the importance of the question.
--Rev. R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
How about taking the thought a little further:
Catholics define themselves by their relationship to the Pope.
. . Christians define themselves by their relationship to Jesus Christ.
Looking at the current poaching going on with the Anglicans, it seems that the only issues important are married/female/gay priests and bishops.
. . . anything to do with the essentials of the Gospel has been thrown under the bus.
Seems that the daughters are going home to Momma. . . .
